From 2001 onwards, the 1.9L 8 valve diesel vehicles suffer from corrosion on all 4 injectors. The No.4 injector (next to cambelt) tends corrode at a faster rate than the others which is often caused by the lack of protection from road spray.
Sharp Autos have invested heavily in specialist equipment to remove these bosch injectors, and have found no tool available to give high success rates particularly extracting No.4 injector.
The most prominent tooling on the market, used by our competitors, tends to pull the threads
This innovative approach has led to an enviable success rate in the removal of All 4 Injectors which significantly surpasses the often unsatisfactory results achieved by competitors.
From 2007 onwards, water ingress to top of cylinder head causes corrosion to all 4 injectors. Upon inspection, all 4 injectors can often be found partly immersed in a substantial volume of water.
Due to this issue, these injectors are unusable after extraction, with Sharp Autos choosing to sacrifice the injector to preserve the cylinder head.
Piezo injectors can be supplied by Sharp Autos and at a significant price reduction compared to dealer rates.
Our new tooling developments for injector removal is now currently achieving a success rate of 99%.
